Given that where I am low-rust (not rust free!) empty AE86 roller shells with no engine, interior, hood, grill, or transmission trade hands for $1500 all day, any day of the week, this may be a clusterfuck, but it’s not as CP as all that. (not that I approve of those prices, but thats what the market will bear)

The point is that that’s after they tried to hide it. Might not even be low-rust by NE terms. Also, the use of a 3 rib block is puzzling considering that 7 ribs are plentiful and better.

Overpriced, but I generally see no issue buying someone else's project, provided that someone else isn't a moron (you'd have the same experience buying a non-project car from a moron too).
